Terms of Service

Sudoku — Classic Puzzle Game

Last updated: November 4, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Pushpendra Kumar ("we", "us", or "our"), the publisher of the Sudoku Android app (package name: app.sudoku.ai). By installing or using Sudoku you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. How we handle information is described in the Sudoku Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

2. What Sudoku does

Sudoku is a 9×9 number-puzzle game for Android. Core play works offline, and your game progress is stored on your device. The app does not have its own user accounts. Optional Google Play Games sign-in, ads, and purchases need an internet connection.

3. Gameplay and progress

Puzzles, hints, and coaching tips are provided for entertainment and learning. Game progress, statistics, and settings live on your device; uninstalling the app or clearing its data may delete them, and we are not responsible for lost progress. If you sign in to Google Play Games, features that use it are subject to Google's terms.

4. Fees and purchases

Sudoku is free to download and play. It shows Google AdMob advertising, with consent choices where required. You can choose to buy optional one-time items through Google Play Billing: Hint packs, Coach packs, and Remove Ads.

Purchases are processed by Google Play, which is the merchant of record. Prices, taxes, payment, and refunds are governed by Google Play's terms and refund policies, and refund requests are handled through Google Play. Purchases are tied to your Google account and can be restored on devices signed in to it. Remove Ads removes ads shown by the app; it does not change other features.

5. Intellectual property

Sudoku, including its code, design, name, logo, and content, is owned by Pushpendra Kumar or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on your Android devices for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or distribute the app, or remove any ownership notices, except where applicable law allows it despite this restriction. The app may include open-source and third-party components, which remain under their own licences.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the app to break any law or the rights of others;
  • interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app or its services;
  • use automated means, or modified or cloned versions of the app, to abuse it or circumvent its limits;
  • misrepresent your identity, or present content created with the app as something it is not.

7. Third-party services

Sudoku relies on services from Google, such as Google Play, Firebase, and Google AdMob. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies, including the Google Play Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sudoku is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may differ between devices and Android versions, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Sudoku. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which is zero if you have paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

10. Termination

You may stop using Sudoku at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live, the courts at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the app.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Sudoku after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
