Terms of Service
Recora — Screen Recorder
Last updated: November 4, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Pushpendra Kumar ("we", "us", or "our"), the publisher of the Recora Android app (package name: app.recora). By installing or using Recora you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. How we handle information is described in the Recora Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
2. What Recora does
Recora records your Android screen. You can optionally add microphone audio and a face-camera overlay, and use a floating on-screen control to pause, resume, or stop. Android shows its own screen-capture consent prompt before each recording. Recordings are saved on your device (in Movies/Recora) and can be played, renamed, shared, or deleted in the app.
Recora runs a foreground service with a notification while recording. Microphone, camera, notification, and display-over-other-apps access are requested only for the features you use, and you can deny them.
3. Your responsibility when recording
You decide what to record and are solely responsible for it. A screen recording can capture everything visible on screen and, if enabled, sound from the microphone and video from the camera, including other people, private messages, personal data, passwords, and payment details.
- Obtain every consent and permission required by law before recording other people, calls, meetings, or conversations.
- Do not record content you have no right to record, such as copyrighted or protected content where recording is prohibited, or apps and services whose terms forbid it.
- Do not use Recora to spy on, harass, or secretly record anyone.
- Keep recordings that contain sensitive information secure, and think before sharing them.
4. Storage and sharing of recordings
Recordings stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. When you share a recording, it is passed to the app you choose through Android's share sheet, and that app's terms and privacy policy apply. You are responsible for backing up recordings you want to keep; uninstalling the app or clearing storage may remove them, and we are not responsible for lost recordings.
5. Device performance
Recording can use significant battery, storage, and processing power, and some devices, Android versions, or apps may block screen or audio capture. We do not guarantee that Recora will work on every device or capture every app.
6. Fees and purchases
Recora is free to download and use. It shows Google AdMob advertising, with consent choices where required. We do not sell in-app purchases in Recora.
7. Intellectual property
Recora, including its code, design, name, logo, and content, is owned by Pushpendra Kumar or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on your Android devices for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or distribute the app, or remove any ownership notices, except where applicable law allows it despite this restriction. The app may include open-source and third-party components, which remain under their own licences.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app to break any law or the rights of others;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app or its services;
- use automated means, or modified or cloned versions of the app, to abuse it or circumvent its limits;
- misrepresent your identity, or present content created with the app as something it is not.
9. Third-party services
Recora relies on services from Google, such as Google Play, Firebase, and Google AdMob. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies, including the Google Play Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recora is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may differ between devices and Android versions, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Recora. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which is zero if you have paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
12. Termination
You may stop using Recora at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live, the courts at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the app.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Recora after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
